A hot hand
With temperatures soaring into the 40’s today, every hand was going to be a hot one at the St Hedwig Village Resident Card Players Group.
A few of our dedicated ladies in the village battled the heat and made their way down to the community room to enjoy a game of Rummie.
Jenny the Village Manager said, “Usually we have a mix of male and female players and they always have a real laugh.”
Many of the players are away on holidays at the moment, but usually we have a mix of male and female card players.”
They are also hoping to start a Catholic Healthcare Retirement Village Card Players Competition so watch this space!
The groups are always looking for more people to join their Tuesday afternoon games, both men and women. The only catch is, you have to be a resident of the Village.
